As you can see, we had our first snow of the year last night and this morning. It started with rain and then turned to ice. The wind was howling so loudly that it sounded like wolves were in the back yard. Today dawned with clouds and more snow. School was cancelled. DD was really unhappy about that, since that means that she has to take one of her calculus final exam in January, when school resumes. I took the day off from work, as I was concerned about travel.
A good deal of the snow melted during the day, but it has now turned back into ice. I sure hope that I can get back to work tomorrow. It is the last day before Christmas, and we are having our company Christmas luncheon.
Family will be arriving for the holidays shortly. I have all of my shopping done. I just need to do a little house work, and then we will be all set.
In case I don’t get a chance to post until after the holidays, I hope that you all have a peaceful, relaxing and happy holiday. I wish you and your family health, happiness and prosperity for all of the New Year.
